Dubrovnik is such a popular destination that we’re glad that we visited at at time when the weather was good, but the tourist population had not yet peaked. We found that sea kayaking was a good way to escape the crowds. Most of the damage from the Homeland War in the early 90’s has been repaired, but only a few ancient, lichen-covered roofs remain.
